Terms of Service

StarNote Atlas is a free hobby site for logging U.S. notes worth keeping — stars, fancy serials, and older or distinct types — and sharing public Bill Passports. It is not a bank, dealer, auction house, grader, or marketplace. The site may show Google ads. Links to eBay are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a commission, and you pay eBay's price.

By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

You must be at least 13. Keep your password to yourself. Usernames cannot impersonate the product, staff, or reserved routes. We may reclaim a username or close an account that is abusive, illegal, or confusing as official.

Saving a note publishes it. Collector pages, passports, Explore, and share links are meant to be seen by other people. Do not log anything you want to keep private. Price paid and the notes field stay owner-only; everything else on the passport, including found city if you add it, can be public.

You keep whatever rights you have in photos and text you upload. You grant StarNote Atlas a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, compress, and share that content as part of operating the site (passports, collection pages, Explore, and link previews).

You are responsible for what you upload. Do not post other people’s personal information, illegal content, or photos you do not have the right to use.

Condition, type, serial, and location are whatever you enter. We do not professionally grade, authenticate, or certify legal ownership. Any guide ranges we show are compiled from third-party price guides for education. They are not an appraisal, offer, or guarantee. A note can sell for much more or much less.

StarNote Atlas is not affiliated with the U.S. Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Federal Reserve, or US Currency Auctions. We may cite public BEP and guide information with attribution.

Do not use the site to commit fraud, scrape other collectors at scale, attack the service, or upload malware. Photographing U.S. currency for a personal collection record is allowed; using images to counterfeit is not.

You may delete notes you own. You may ask us to delete your account at privacy@starnoteatlas.com. We may remove content or close accounts that violate these terms or create risk for other collectors.

The service is offered as-is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. Paper-money data, OCR suggestions, signature lookups, and guide ranges can be wrong or out of date.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, StarNote Atlas and the people who operate it are not liable for lost profits, lost notes, or indirect damages arising from the site. If a court finds we are liable anyway, that liability is limited to the greater of ten U.S. dollars or the amount you paid us in the last twelve months (which is currently zero).

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Later use of the site is under the updated terms.
